We have a extensive fleet of vans ranging from old classic ice cream vans if you say wanted to have a traditional wedding or to go with whatever theme you may require it for, down to brand new vehicles that have all the latest equipment on board to be able to provide a service like you have never experienced before.

Every member at our company have at least a level 2 in Food & Hygiene and have mandatory checks on them every few months to make sure they are providing the high level of cleanliness standards we require them to keep.

If the standards ever drop or you feel like the service we have provided isn’t up to the high level of standards you and the company expect then after each booking we do we have a customer satisfaction sheet the member off staff will hand the person who has placed the booking with us.

It's Fight Night!!

As mentioned previously we have had the great opportunity to be able to sponsor David Green, who has put himself through a tough 8 week boot camp to prepare himself for the fight.
This sponsorship money and more raised from tickets sales will help dramatically with raising awareness for the charity.
We had the opportunity to be able to meet Ollie himself in person with his family to hand over the sponsor money to them personally.

DIY SOS Manchester Mr Whippy Helps

DIY SOS MANCHESTER

We recently read about the BBC DIY SOS team would be taking on a massive project to help rehouse army veterans and their families. The Manchester Evening New and other media sites were reaching out to local tradesmen and women to go down and donate their time and skills to help complete the project.

It was one of if not the biggest challenge DIY SOS had undertaken since they have been doing the show across the UK, restorating a whole street of houses for these wonderful people.

As we carried on reading and unable to offer our skills at painting, plumbing etc we did on the other hand have an Ice Cream Van available so we thought why not go down to the building site in Manchester and hand out 99’s to all the volunteers their helping out.

So we arrived shortly after the two princes had left who had turned up to help around the site for a few hours and gave it so great media coverage this project deserved. As we arrived the looks we started to get off everyone was wonderful as they had a incline on to why we were their.

We spoke to an organiser and he escorted us to the cafe area where the local army had helped out to supply the needs and demand of food to keep everyone fueled for the days they were their.

As we parked up and played the chimes we suddenly had an influx of excited adults running towards us to see what was happening, as the word got out that we would be giving away 99’s it quickly became one of the biggest ques we have seen.

All the volunteers couldn’t have been more polite thanking us for doing it and offering our only expertise we could and moral support to them all.

All in all this Manchester project is wonderful and it was great to see all the locals getting involved to help finish this awesome project.

CHESHIRE WHIPPY BUSY AS EVER IN SEPTEMBER

The sun shone yesterday at a fantastic fun day at Poynton Sports in aid of Ollies Army, the turnout was brilliant

Continuing sunshine today with a christening to attend this afternoon and more sun forecast

Later in the week we hope to be unveiling our new whippy van designed for the next 10 years, so if you see a totally different van, with the wrong name and tune - It will still be us!! pop down and test it out

We may be missing for a day or three as we need to switch stock etc, it's going to be hectic but we hope you like the results!!

Fun days, Sports days Corporate days, rainy days, weddings & birthdays!!

June has been a wet and cold month so far but that hasn't stopped the fun!! in the rain we have attended the party in the park at Poynton and what a fantastic event it was!!

Today we attended a wet fun day at Torkington Primary where everyone carried on having such a great day despite the poor weather

On Friday we will be at Lostock primary for their annual barbecue and if we are really lucky, this year it will be sunny and dry, but if not we will all still have a wonderful time

On Saturday we will be attending Pownall primary again and hopefully the weather will be as good as last year!!

Other events still to come include, Moss Hey primary, Higher Poynton Summerfest and the Tytherington Club Fun day...

Phew.. and there's so much more to do including weddings, birthdays and corporate events, may we all have A WONDERFUL SUMMER

April Update

A fantastic month with typical showers returning in the last days of the month and continuing into May
We have served many customers, old and new, attended the under 9s Cheshire tournament at Macclesfield Rugby club and will be at the British national Championships at Wilmslow Lacrosse club this coming weekend
We have attended Lower park primary school, Poynton high and many corporate clients including Citation in Wilmslow, Bollington Insurance,  Manheim and Mcann to name a few
We already have many bookings from sports events, weddings, school fun days and even Girl Guide camps, this season is showing even more promise than previous years, Whether this is due to any economic recovery or not, we are always delighted when we see the smiles of our customers as they enjoy their treat

May we have a very whippy season, and as we tell our younger customers "a volcano a day, keeps the doctor away"

Mixed start to the season

Despite the rain and cold in the first part of March we have managed to visit the High School and many of our regular customers across Poynton, Bollington and Tytherington

Over the coming weeks with the longer daylight and hopefully, warmer weather we shall visit everyone to ensure you have a very whippy spring

Almost There

We are almost ready for the new season, just a few more items of stock and a few dry days and we hope to be visiting all our wonderful customers in the Poynton, Bollington and Macclesfield areas

Although winter is still here and it's freezing cold, we have been preparing for the new season

We expect to be back around the 1st March and hope for a nice warm spring and a fantastic summer

Did you know that a 99 is not the price of a cone wth a flake? We hear this every day, the truth is nobody knows who named the 99, some say it was cadburys order number for the box of flakes, google it and have fun

One of the most common questions asked is "what times/days do you call?
The answer is difficult because we serve so many customers at corporate days, birthday and wedding parties along with community and sports events

The old traditional ice cream round has (like everything does) changed. 20 years ago there were an estimated 40,000 ice cream vans on Britains streets, the latest estimate is 5000

The reasons are varied, it is mainly a seasonal job with long hours in the summer and very little in the winter. Add to that the growth in freezers, supermarkets selling similar products for less than we can buy wholesale. Also many parents now view an ice cream as a treat once or twice a week, they do not always appreciate the ice cream van twice a day outside their door, especially if they have two or three children and all the other financial pressures

So we have to move with the times to survive, adapt or become extinct. Modern kids have smartphones, they can facebook, text and tweet, at their request, we are trialing Twitter so we can try and give a more accurate picture of where and when we are in the area, personally I can't see a downside at the moment

Fun day at Macclesfield rugby club

We had a great day yesterday and the weather held for all the visitors to the Macclesfield Rugby club fun day

Later in the day we just managed a flying visit to Bollington and Poynton before returning to re-stock and clean down for today

What a hectic whippy week!! We again attended the Anglo - Dutch tournament with Richmond Rovers before heading to the Party in the Park for a fantastic evening hosted by Poynton Rotary

We moved on to two Stockport Primary school fun days and a Nursery in Bredbury for their annual fun day(s) and treats

Still serving as many of our regular customers across Bollington, Poynton, Hazel Grove and Macclesfield as possible

Last but not least in the last seven days, we attended a birthday party as a surprise treat and had the happy birthday girl serve whippy's to her friends,, priceless kodak moments there

And so, it continues, over the next week we are attending three corporate events, a Poynton Primary and the sports day at the Leisure centre on Saturday
